Anime Otakuchii

Plot

In Naruto Shippuuden, Naruto returns from his training with Jiraiya. Naruto's friends were now chuunins, and few of them are already jounins. At that time, Akatsuki also started hunting powerful Bijuu (Tailed Beasts) that were sealed within people (they're called Jinchuriki). Naruto's Kyubi is one of the Bijuu that is being targeted by Akatsuki. They were able to successfully capture 7 tailed beasts. Once the tailed beasts are extracted from their Jinchuriki, the person eventually dies. Gaara, the Kazekage and also one of Naruto's friends, got his Bijuu extracted from him. Gaara died but was revived by one of the elders of his village. Kakashi at that time was severely wounded so Tsunade, the Hokage (also one of the Legendary Sannin), assigned two people to be in Naruto's team for  precautions against Akatsuki, Sai (Sasuke's replacement) was an ANBU from the root division and Yamato (also an ANBU). They make the Team Kakashi.  On the other hand, Sasuke has become stronger and killed Orochimaru. He created a group (namely 'Hebi') with the objectives to go after Uchiha Itachi and take his revenge. He killed his brother, however, the Akatsuki's founder, Tobi, told Sasuke the truth about Itachi. Sasuke discovered that Itachi killed the entire clan under the instructions given to him by the higher ups of Konoha. Itachi couldn't bring himself to kill Sasuke and spared his life. He was labeled as a traitor and after all that, Itachi joined the Akatsuki to spy and keep track of the organization's movements. Saddened by his brother's death, Sasuke decided to destroy Konoha instead of carrying his brother's will. He renamed the group he's leading to 'Taka' with the objective to destroy the village.  Several Akatsuki member were defeated by Konoha ninjas including the leader Pain. He was defeated by Naruto and was called the hero of the village. During their battle, Naruto was able to meet his father, Minato, which is the Fourth Hokage. However, Tobi disguised himself as Uchiha Madara and declared war against all shinobi. He wished to obtain all nine tailed beasts to perform an illusion powerful enough to control humanity. The 5 kage/ leaders of ninja villages : Mizukage, Kazekage, Tsuchikage, Raikage and Hokage, decided to join forces to defeat Uchiha Madara. At that time Naruto was trained by the Jinchuriki of the Eight Tailed Beast to control the Kyubi. During the training, he met his mother, Ushina, who helped him against the Kyubi. Kabuto, who took some of Orochimaru's corpse, also joined the war but he was on Tobi's side. Soon they were able to learn that Tobi is not the real Uchiha Madara because the real Madara was revived by Edo Tensei (reanimation). Tobi was actually Uchiha Obito, former subordinate of Kakashi. He was supposed to be dead but he was saved by the real Uchiha Madara. Itachi was also revived by Edo Tensei and by that, Sasuke got to talk to him. Sasuke searched for the truth and real legacy of Konoha by having Orochimaru revived and initiate Edo Tensei to the four Hokage. After learning the history of the village, Sasuke, together with his group 'Taka', Orochimaru and the four Hokage, decided to join the war to stop Uchiha Madara and Obito. Team 7 was reunited at this point. Obito converted back on the good side but Madara was consumed by total darkness and Kaguya, the progenitor of chakra, appeared before them. With the new powers given by the sage of the six paths to Naruto and Sasuke, they were able to take down Kaguya and save everyone. After the war, Naruto and Sasuke settled their long awaited battle at the place where they have fought before.  The two of them fought until they were too injured to continue with their fight. After that,  Sasuke was able to change. 

Remarks/Comments:

A lot has happened and there's lots of conflicts going on. The truth was unraveled slowly. The real story between Naruto's parents has been shown as well. It really brought me to tears when I watched the part where Naruto was hugged by her mom. The battle against Obito and Uchiha Madara was really awesome because they had the four dead Hokage to their side and the 5 kage of different villages. Sasuke also joined the fight to defend the shinobis. Moreover, the tailed beasts were befriended by Naruto and aided him on the fight. One of my favorite scenes is when Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto did the Summoning technique together during the battle.  I've been rooting for Hinata and Naruto from the very beginning so the ending of the manga was very satisfying. The anime has lots of extras and flashbacks of previous missions so I found it a little boring but it's still good. You need to watch the anime and read the manga.  <3

Plot

This anime is very popular so I believe that most people have already heard of it. This anime is one of my favorites. The story goes this way. There was a giant and powerful fox that attacked the village of Konoha which resulted great damage and casualties. It was a Nine Tailed fox known as the "Kyubi". In order to save lives and protect the village from the fox, the Fourth Hokage (Hokage=leader of the village; strongest ninja) sealed the fox inside a new born baby which cost him his life. And that was Uzumaki Naruto.  The village was safe and the Third Hokage has made a law which forbids the people in mentioning the Nine Tail so Naruto had no idea about fox sealed inside him. The people of the village regards Naruto as if he was a monster which gave Naruto hardships while growing up. But despite of these circumstances, Naruto made a decision to have the people of the village acknowledge him and become the Hokage. Naruto entered the academy but before he was able to graduate,a certain incident happened wherein he learned about the fox sealed inside of him. After graduating to the academy, they were assigned in a team which consists three members and a teacher. Naruto was with Haruno Sakura(his crush), Uchiha Sasuke(his rival) and their assigned teacher Hatake Kakashi. They are Team 7. Since Sasuke has always been good and smart, Naruto would always compete against him. Their team has completed several missions wherein a great bond of friendship formed between them. They trained and worked hard.Sasuke wanted to become stronger in order to kill his brother Uchiha Itachi who killed their clansmen.  As Naruto continues to struggle to catch up to Sasuke, Sasuke is beginning to feel inferiority. Knowing that he is not powerful enough to kill his brother, he then, decided to go to Orochimaru (Konoha's most wanted criminal who attacked and tried to destroy the village) in order to become stronger but Orochimaru was only after Sasuke's Sharingan. Orochimaru plans to make Sasuke his next body. Naruto and his friends were on a mission to stop Sasuke from leaving but they failed. One of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya, found out that  Orochimaru had consumed another body and can not harm Sasuke as of the moment. He will need to wait 3 years to get Sasuke's body. Akatsuki, an organization of rogue ninjas (Itachi was one of the members), were after the fox that was sealed inside of Naruto. Jiraiya decided to train Naruto to protect him from Akatsuki and to prepare himself to save Sasuke. Naruto left the village with Jiraiya and will be back after 3 years. 


Remarks/Comments:

I had lots of laughs while watching the anime. It consists of 200 episodes. Took me quite a while to finish it. Some episodes were just missions and extras though. I got to know Naruto's friends and abilities. The character I can relate most is Shikamaru, a slacker. But I find Gaara cute when he's making different expressions because he has no eyebrows. I also like Kakashi. He's very talented and smart although he can be silly when it comes to reading his favorite book. Naruto, on the other hand, is  the exact opposite of the kind of person I dislike most(those who back out to their words), so I like him the most. Before watching Naruto Shippuuden, you should watch this frst.  \\(^_^)//

Plot:

A'right, so if you are a certified gamer, you'll probably relate to Accel World. The main protagonist of the story has a unique appearance from other protagonists of anime I have watched so far. The first time I saw a picture of Accel World, I thought he was a 'chibi'. But nah! He is a short boy with a round and large physical appearance. Haruyuki Arita(his name) a.k.a. 'Silver Crow', was always bullied at his school which affects his own self confidence and self esteem. For him to cope, he indulged himself in the Virtual Games. With his skills in playing, he was able to get the attention of the beautiful Black Snow Princess ('Kuroyukihime' in Japanese; she's also known as 'Black Lotus' and 'Black King'), the school's Student Council President who is also the leader of the Black Legion (one of the seven legions in the game). Kuroyukihime was the one who introduced the game called Brain Burst to Haruyuki. Brain Burst is a secret application that allows the user to accelerate the brainwaves at which time seems to stop. Also, it is played by many which you could refer to as a VRMMO Game (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Game). The times a person can accelerate on the reality depends on the number of Burst Points a player have and these points can only be obtained in winning a duel against another player. It has been believed that if they were able to reach Level 10, they would be able to know the secrets of Brain Burst or meet the creator of the game. Kuroyukihime wanted to attain level 10 with Haruyuki's help and to be able to achieve that goal, they will need to defeat sic other Level 9 players who are leading their own legions. Haruyuki has two bestfriends namely Kurashima Chiyuri and Mayuzumi Takumu. Both of them joined Nega Nebulus(name of Kuroyukihime's legion). 

Remarks/Comments:

I am amazed on how Kuroyukihime's feelings for Haruyuki emerged in the anime. Despite Haruyuki's appearance, he gets to attract some girls. Lucky! The anime has 24 episodes, and can be finished in less than a day. Watching the anime reminds me somehow of Sword Art Online and Log Horizon. But in the game, they do not have the same image as they have in the real world. They have their own avatars. This anime doesn't have that much humor but it's definitely good. =) 

Do you believe in afterlife? If so, it would be interesting to meet people and make friends after dying. 


Plot

The story revolves around the young lad Yuzuru Otonashi who doesn't have any memories and woke up somewhere in the grounds of a school. There, he met Yuri Nakamura (aslso called 'Yurippe'), the leader and founder of the Afterlife Battlefront, and was informed that he's already dead and he's now in the afterlife. Yurippe asked him to join their battlefront and fight along with them so he will not be eliminated by God and vanish.  At that time, Yurippe was holding a sniper and was pointing it to a girl whom  they believed as the Angel (Real Name: Kanade Tachibana). However, Otonashi did not believe what Yurippe said and went to the Angel to converse with her. Thinking that the Angel is also tricking him, he asked the Angel to prove to him that he is already dead so he wast stabbed by the angel through his heart. After that, he woke up in the school's infirmary and came across a guy carrying a long axe who also tried to kill him. He lost consciousness after receiving blows from the guy. A few moments later, he came to his consciousness and realized that he's still alive. Shocked by knowing that he can't die, he tried to look for adults in the school but when he tried to enter the principal's office, he fell into a trap and was knocked out (yeah, he lost conciousness again). when he came to, he found himself inside the principal's office with the other members of  Afterlife Battlefront. Believing the Buddhist philosopy that a person might not come back as a person when reborn, they were able to convince Otonashi to join them. They believed that for as long as they oppose the Angel, they'll continue living in that world. Their main goal is to erase the Angel and take over  their world. There were other students and teachers in the school.They make up the majority of the school's population. As Yurippe try to define them, they are like NPC (Non-Player Characters) in a game. They're people that have been in the world since the start.

As the story continues, Otonashi realized that everyone in that world have harsh lives before their death and they were all trying to rebel against God. When he gained all his memories back, he formed new ideals and tries to take his friends to a new direction. He thinks that it would be nice if everyone could be as happy and fulfilled as he was and that they could leave this world together and start anew. The world they're in is actually a sanctuary for young souls. Basically, his friends are all fighting against life's absurdities and were not able to accomplish something they wanted when they were still living. Kanade who knows this fact, on the other hand, wanted to show everyone that their lives were not unreasonable and wanted them to live a fulfilling youth. He realized that their battle against the Kanade is a big misunderstanding. Friendship was formed as they live their lives in that world. Otonashi's feelings for Kanade has also evolved.


Remarks/Comments:

This anime talks about life and fulfillment which I found good. I had a great laugh too. I just love it.  In the end, they faced a great obstacle but they were able to graduate. The last episode must be watched. It really touched me that I even got teary eyes. *sniff* 

On the year 2010, Spike Chunsoft has developed and published the video game entitled as Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc in Japan. The game can be played in PSP, iOS and android devices. Basically, Danganronpa: The Animation is the anime adaptation of the video game. The anime takes place at an elite private school that only accepts students with extraordinary and superb talents and skills. In short, they only accept prodigies in different criteria. Makoto Naegi, a normal average student, won the lottery ticket and was selected to attend to the prestigious school. However, upon stepping into the school grounds, he lost consciousness and by the time he woke up, he found himself in a closed room. He saw a note with instructions to proceed to the gymnasium and there, he met 14 other students in the same situation as him. Then, Monokuma or Monobear, a remote controlled teddy bear showed up informing them that they will be living in the school for the rest of their lives. And the only way to graduate and get away, is to kill one of the students without being caught as a culprit. If a dead body has been found, Monokuma holds a class trial in order to identify the murderer. If they were able to tell the real murderer, the murderer will be punished by Monokuma for disrupting the order of the school. That punishment is execution. However, if they accused the wrong person, the murderer will be able to graduate from the school and all of them will be executed by Monokuma. As the story progresses, the number of survivors are reduced. 


Remarks/Comments:

The real excitement in the anime occurs every time a dead body is found. Just like in a video game, they are to look for clues and gather evidences in the murder scene to aid them in determining the killer. On the class trial, they're debating and speculating possibilities from their own hypothesis and observations on when,where and how the victim was killed to sequence the events before the murder happened. They give proper reasoning to defend themselves and support their statements. You might conclude that the anime is gruesome or whatever because of  the murder stuffs. The color of their blood is pink, not red, so the it is not so horror and gruesome. I recommend this anime to those who love mysteries and thrills. 

On episode 14 of Log Horizon, Regan approached Shiroe in hope to acquire information and know about the Apocalypse. But since Shiroe does not have any idea about the matter as well, he asked Regan to provide some information about what he know. Regan started the story on the time the first and second world fraction was used.

Approximately 350 years ago,  the world is said to have been a far more prosperous place than today. It was a pale shadow of the age of gods which has been passed into legend. These four races: human, elves, dwarved, and alvs  lived together during that time.

The alvs, in particular, are magical inventors and the vanguard of a vast magical civilization. However, that power became their downfall. As a race, their reproductive capacity was quite low and their nation was small. They were despised for their exclusive possession of magical technology so other races used their superior numbers to destroy them. Through out the world, the alvs were treated as slaves. Their descendants are the half -alvs. In any event, the alv kingdom was destroyed and then, the six bent princesses, the Luquenje, were born. The six didn't know each other, and they certainly weren't acting in concert. Nonetheless, each of these six alv women swore revenge independently. Some seduced those in power. Some led the remaining alvs. And the world was plunged into chaos once more. But in the end, all six were left on the verge of defeat. And it was then that the 1st World Fraction was used by alvs. But the technologies and principles used remain deeply shrouded in mystery. And the spell brought about the birth of demi-humans.

Until 300 years ago, there were no demi-humans.Repeated war had decreased the population,  leaving the planet  overrun with souls. These souls were used, it seems, in the creation of the demi - humans. The wars with the demi humans pushed humanity to the brink, and the world entered a dark age. Humanity defeated the Luquenje, but there is no doubt their revenge succeeded. To counter the demi-humans , humanity used alv secrets to create new races.The cat people, the wolf fangs, the fox tails, and the robed ones.It seems the precursors were created then, as well.

Even so, humanity was incapable of halting its slide toward the abyss.No matter how many demi-humans one defeated, they simply reincarnated which meant there was no way to defeat them. 

Sixty years after the first World Fraction, humanity had fallen nearly completely to the endless wars with demi-humans. And then, a divine summoning spell was used, and messengers of God appeared. This was two hundred forty years ago. The second world fraction. The appearance of the adventurers.
